An article was recently published by a number of US and international experts on bowel management, including PM&R’s Dr. Gianna Rodriguez about how to best do bowel management by people with Spinal Cord Injuries. These new standards have been approved by the Paralyzed Veterans of America, PVA as best methods. The article is entitled “Management of Neurogenic Bowel Dysfunction in Adults after Spinal Cord Injury: Clinical Practice Guideline for Health Care Providers.
