Why U of M? Raised in sunny San Diego and having journeyed through my entire educational odyssey from Kindergarten to Medical School in California, I decided it was time to shake things up. Enter Michigan: my next home. My decision was highly influenced when I met Dr. Hearn (PD) and Dr. Wernimont (APD), whose passion and investment in our education, training, and well-being left me in awe during the interview. The tipping factor? The infectious pride radiating from every faculty member and resident at the University of Michigan. It was contagious, and I knew right then that this was where I wanted to be.
