Biography

Dr. Evan Plunkett is an Assistant Professor in the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Department at Michigan Medicine. Dr. Plunkett earned his Bachelor of Arts degree at The Ohio State University. He then obtained his medical degree at Wright State Boonshoft School of Medicine. He completed his internship and physical medicine and rehabilitation residency at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. Following residency training, he completed a sports medicine fellowship at the University of Toledo where he was an acting team physician for both the football and men’s basketball teams. Dr. Plunkett joined Michigan Medicine’s PM&R Department in 2022. His medical practice focuses on non-surgical management of sports medicine conditions as well as disorders of joints, tendon, and nerves. He also serves as a team physician for Eastern Michigan University Athletics.
