Why did you choose Michigan's residency program? I chose Michigan Medicine's EM Residency because of the high acuity patients, teaching environment, Level 1 Trauma designation and the preceptors I met during my interviews. Michigan's Emergency Department has over 100 beds, so I knew I would see a plethora of disease states and patient populations, and learn a lot from the busy environment. Michigan has it's own separate pediatric ED as well as a nine bed ICU in the adult ED, and these were two features that really drew me to this program because I knew I would get a very well-rounded residency experience.
