Biography

I am passionate about improvement and reliability for our patients, team members, and learners. My role is focused on developing and supporting leaders so that they can ensure the safety and integrity of our work and care processes. That includes the Medication Safety, Pharmacy Quality, Regulatory/Accreditation Compliance, Diversion Prevention, Compounding Compliance, and Medication Use Policy Teams. But, my experience at UMH includes numerous roles and years leading our Acute Care Services. I believe residency training, and experiential education in general, is heavily dependent on the resident to make the most of each experience. By that I mean, the resident should be working to improve for the success of their practice- not to prove to me their skills and abilities. We work together, practicing skills so that I can help support them in the things they want to do better. I am very open and honest with my residents and we focus a great deal on self-reflection and continuous improvement.
