About Me:
I was born and raised in Maryland on the outskirts of Washington, D.C. and studied Physiology and Neurobiology at the University of Maryland. I fell in love with pediatric medicine while managing a metabolism and genetics lab and coordinating clinical studies at Children’s National Hospital, studying rare inborn errors of metabolism and neurologic conditions. I moved to upstate New York to pursue a medical degree from Albany Medical College. I am passionate about community health and improving healthcare access, regularly volunteering at free clinics in my community. I am also passionate about furthering education in the field of pediatrics, organizing programs to give medical students opportunities for research, volunteering, and leadership in pediatrics. Outside of medicine, I love being in the mountains or by the water. I am an avid hiker and backpacker, ski every winter season, and love volunteering at local summer camps. In my free time, I love watching college and professional football, Go Blue! I am also a rock, blues, and folk guitarist and love performing at small venues and open-mic nights.
Why I chose Michigan:
University of Michigan is a premier pediatric program with a multitude of opportunities for clinical education, research, leadership, and community outreach that will make me the best pediatrician I can be. I felt a strong connection to the staff, faculty, and residents during my interview and knew I could make Ann Arbor my new home.
