Program: Combined Medicine and Pediatrics
Medical School: University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry

About Me:
I was born and raised on Long Island with my parents, grandparents, and younger sister. I found myself in beautiful western Massachusetts at Amherst College for undergrad where I studied Biochemistry. While at Amherst, I was a defender and captain of the women’s lacrosse team and a tutor in the Department of Chemistry. After graduating, I moved to Rochester, New York for medical school. In medical school, I was an active member of the Medical Education Pathway and participated in number of teaching experiences that allowed me to build my skills as a medical educator. My research in medical school focused on better understanding the unique experiences of caregivers of children with medical complexity and how these caregivers cope when their children are hospitalized. Outside of medicine, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my partner (hiking, skiing, biking etc.), playing board games, trying new restaurants, and baking sourdough bread.

Why I chose Michigan:
I chose Michigan because of my experience on my interview day. Although it was virtual, I got the sense that the residents truly cared for each other and felt valued in the work that they were doing. I also appreciated that the categorical programs are strong and there is a robust Med-Peds presence at UofM. Ann Arbor also seemed like a wonderful city to live, with many parks and restaurants to explore.
