Program: Combined Pediatrics - Child Neurology
Medical School: Central Michigan University School of Medicine

About Me:
Hi everyone! I grew up in Traverse City, MI, attended Michigan State University for undergrad, and then attended Central Michigan University for medical school. I have been interested in neurology throughout college and medical school. In undergrad, I majored in neuroscience and solidified my passion for studying the brain. As I began medical school, I was excited to explore specialties where I could further my neurologic knowledge. Additionally, I have always known that I function best working with kids. I have been a big brother in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program for the past couple of years. My passion for serving the pediatric population grew during medical school and I cannot imagine serving another population of patients. I am so excited to combine my two passions in one specialty! Outside of medicine, I enjoy spending time with my wife Emily, our two cats Stevie and Luna, and our leopard gecko Ferris. We love cooking together, trying new restaurants, and exploring the beautiful Michigan outdoors!

Why I chose Michigan:
I chose U of M because I was extremely impressed by the breadth of subspecialty representation in the Child Neurology department. After my interview, I was confident that this would be a place where I would not only get amazing training, but also where I would find a supportive community of residents and faculty.
