About Me:
I grew up on Long Island, NY with my parents and younger brothers. I always knew I wanted a career that emphasized helping others, problem solving, communicating, and continuously learning. I gained a love for teaching from my mother and was inspired by my AP Biology teacher to pursue my love of science. I attended Cornell University where I majored in Biological Sciences with a concentration in Genetics, Genomics, and Development. After graduation, I took one gap year to work as a medical scribe back on Long Island. I worked with pediatric surgeons, an adult hematologist/oncologist who specialized in stem cell transplants, and a surgical oncologist. I continued my journey toward becoming a physician by returning to Central NY to attend medical school at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse. During my time in medical school, my favorite role was being the President of our Class of 2024. I loved being able to advocate on behalf of my classmates, get to personally know all of my peers, plan class events, and work with faculty on education reform. Now, I’m happy to say that I am a Med-Peds resident at the University of Michigan! In my free time, I love being in nature and enjoying walks, picnics, and soaking in the views. Along with that, I also love nature photography. I’m a big event planner and enjoy bringing everyone together to celebrate. My favorite event that I planned during medical school was my annual Halloween party; fall is my favorite season! I love reading books and watching movies. My favorite genres are horror, thrillers, rom coms, and comedies. I also enjoy cooking, baking, volunteering, and exploring local community events. You can catch me at a farmer’s market, art/food festival, or a concert!

Why I chose Michigan:
Overall, I felt excited about the University of Michigan for my Med-Peds residency because of the supportive leadership and amazing residents I met during the social who were very welcoming and fun-loving. From having a near peer resident buddy to guide me through residency to being able to participate in monthly resident dinners, I knew that I would find my home within this tight-knit program. Although I had never lived anywhere other than New York, I immediately fell in love with the vibrancy of Ann Arbor. From the Kerrytown farmer’s markets, Matthaei Botanical Gardens, exciting downtown life, to the proximity of the lakes for a cabin weekend, there seemed to be no shortage of things to do during my free time. There are urban, suburban, and rural areas in and around Ann Arbor so we get to work with so many populations! I enjoy how many different clinics are available to give us unique experiences within underserved populations, refugee health, adolescent health, and more to really bolster our education combined with our continuity clinic experience. Similarly, I loved how the U of M Med-Peds program really engages with the community. There are opportunities to get involved with student-run free clinics, Food Gatherers, Walk with a Doc, Wolverine Street Medicine, and more! I am also very excited about and plan to pursue one of the many pathways offered to us geared towards our career interests, including but not limited to the Health Equity Scholars Program, Healthcare Administration Scholars Program, Community of Medical Educators in Training, along with opportunities to engage in global health and quality & safety. I can safely say after matching at U of M that I have continued to receive immense support and kindness, and I’m so happy to be here!
