About Me:
Hi! I am Amanda and I am from Michigan's beautiful Upper Peninsula and am also a citizen of the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians! I graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in Human Biology and decided to stay for my medical degree. It has always been my dream to become a pediatrician and I am very excited to be learning and working with amazing pediatricians here at University of Michigan. I have two rescue pups, Indy and Ziggy, with my fiancé, Bernie (who is also a UMich resident physician)! I enjoy spending time outdoors, movie nights, watching and playing sports, and I'm learning how to golf!
Why I chose Michigan:
My elective rotation during my 4th year of medical school allowed me to see the fun and supportive culture at Michigan. Everyone I interacted with was eager to share their love of the program and I wanted to be a part of it! I am excited to join Michigan and learn to best serve my patients.
