There are many opportunities for medical students to conduct research in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. Research opportunities are available for both clinical and basic science research projects. Students with an interest in conducting research should contact a faculty member in an area of their interest.
Research Clerkships. Medical students can participate in mentored research programs as part of their M4 electives.
MSCR The Master of Science in Clinical Research (MSCR) program is designed to provide an intensive year long master's program that combines classroom training along with mentored clinical research by a faculty member. This program is typically completed between M3 and M4 years.
