Biography

Undergraduate School: Arizona State University

Medical School: University of Arizona College of Medicine- Tucson

Originally from Illinois, I moved to Arizona at age 10 where I stayed for college and med school. I initially got interested in neurology through basic science research in college studying the effects of stress on different neurological pathways. Although the resources and training at Michigan are great, my favorite thing about this program is the sense of caring and community the residents and faculty have created here.
When I'm not working, I love to spend time with my partner Chris and eat all his amazing cooking (he even has a portable pizza oven), hike, read novels, and garden (mostly indoors since Michigan has seasons and those are a still a bit tricky for me).

Fun fact: I've hiked the Grand Canyon (top, to river, and back again) in a single day (two separate times!)

My theme song: Re-Education (through Labor) - by Rise Against
