Dr. Christi Gendron gave a TEDX talk on her research in Jacksonville Florida

Earlier this year, Dr. Christi Gendron gave a TEDX talk on her research in Jacksonville Florida.  Her talk was then selected this month to be featured on the main TED site (they only select about 40-50 of the tens of 1000s of TEDx talks each year to feature on the site). In her TED talk, she explores how environmental cues like temperature, light and even just the sight of death have influenced the lifespan of fruit flies, suggesting your everyday perceptions may have direct repercussions on your ability to live a long, healthy life. Her talk is a great example of how to communicate your science to the lay public.
