Biography

Jeffrey Chin is a PhD student in the Health Infrastructures and Learning Systems (HILS) program. Jeff holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and music from the University of Michigan, and a Master of Health Services Administration (MHSA) from the University of Michigan School of Public Health. In his role as the Director of Data Collaboratives & Governance, he helps to oversee the Michigan Data Collaborative (MDC), Health Information Exchange (HIE) program and facilitate enterprise-wide data governance within Health Information Technology and Services (HITS).

During his time at Michigan Medicine, he has helped to craft the organization’s first HIE strategy, implement the full suite of HIE applications, create the framework for the first enterprise-wide data governance program, and facilitate the exchange of HIE data to the Collaborative Quality Initiatives (CQIs).
