The HBCS Postdoctoral Training Program is a two- or three-year long program emphasizing research during its duration. Trainees spend most of their research time in the laboratory of their mentors. However, all training faculty laboratories are available, not only for consultation but also for a secondary laboratory experience. Because faculty members share similar methodological approaches or research interests, trainees are encouraged to take advantage of the opportunity of collaborating with a second faculty member.
Research Standards and Ethics Training
Teaching of responsible conduct in research is a high priority at the University of Michigan. Our predoctoral and postdoctoral trainees are educated in research standards and ethics through classroom and computer-based training programs.
