My work is centered around building international capacity to address the rising global prevalence of diabetes. I am currently leading research efforts to 1) better characterize the diabetes population in Sri Lanka, 2) devise resource conscious methodologies for screening and monitoring disease, and 3) expand the pool of ancillary care providers that can relieve health system congestion resulting from physician shortages.
