Partnering with medical schools in Jordan to improve medical education standards and help develop special training for medical students and physicians on how to handle medical crises. Since 2003, Jordan has been the primary destination for refugees from Iraq and Syria wars. Refugees traumatized by war experience specific stressors related to their status of residence. Together with limited access to health care, these constitute additional risk factors for developing somatic and psychological illnesses. Physicians require specific training for these populations.
