Dr. Chinnaiyan is interested in functional genomic, proteomic and bioinformatics approaches to study cancer and understand cancer biology, as well as the discovery of clinical biomarkers for cancer. His group has characterized a number of important biomarkers of prostate cancer. Dr. Chinnaiyan co-leads a project to establish a Cancer Biomarker Collaborative through the Michigan Medicine-Peking University Health Science Center Joint Institute.
