Disability Awareness Symposium,  presented by the University of Michigan Council for Disability Concerns in collaboration with University Human Resources, Michigan Medicine, and University Health Service. He shared some of his more challenging moments as a deaf medical student and shared how his struggles led him to the University of Michigan, working alongside his adolescent hero, and pioneering deaf physician Philip Zazove, M.D., Chair and the George A. Dean M.D. Professor of Family Medicine, and to his leadership in the formation of the Deaf Health Clinic, a specialized primary care clinic for deaf and hard of hearing patients from across Michigan.
