Biography

Hi! My name is Hope Meyer and I grew up in northern Minnesota. I went to the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis for undergrad, and then I went to the University of Iowa for medical school. Now I'm very excited to continue my tour of the Big Ten at Michigan! One of the main reasons why I loved the Michigan family medicine program was because it offers both a university and community hospital experience. I love the Chelsea clinic and hospital with its strong community feel, but I also get to train at an amazing academic center with any resource imaginable. I felt like it was the best place for me to train to become a full scope family physician.

In my free time I love to cook, eat at new restaurants, and spend as much time outside as possible. My husband and I enjoy playing disc golf at the many beautiful courses around the Ann Arbor area. I also love to spend time on water and am very excited for the many different places to go kayaking in the area.

Areas of Interest

Some of my clinical interests are obstetrics and geriatrics. It's kind of a weird combo, but I like how both are times of life transitions which foster a very deep physician-patient relationship.
