Biography
Hello! I am Emmanuel Candal Rivera, born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico. I did all of my educational training at the University in Puerto Rico. I obtained a B.S. in Molecular Sciences, a Pharm.D. at the UPR School of Pharmacy, and an M.D. at the UPR School of Medicine. After Medical School, I completed 1 year in an ACGME-accredited program in Internal Medicine. I subsequently changed training for Family Medicine because of its broad practice, availability of training in outpatient procedures, and its amazing and welcoming camaraderie. I'm excited to begin my training at the University of Michigan, where I will work hard to achieve my professional goals and be able to provide care to the lovely people of Michigan! In my spare time, I enjoy reading about technology, astronomy, and smart devices. However, my perfect time is playing video games with my husband and relaxing at home together with our cat Sammy.
