Biography
I am from a small city forty-five minutes west of Cleveland, Ohio. I grew up wanting to be a zoo veterinarian and completed my undergraduate degree at OSU in zoology. Towards the end of college, I realized that medical school interested me more and began cramming for the MCAT. Although I was excited that the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine accepted me into their program, I needed more time to make sure this was the right choice. After deferring medical school for a year and teaching in Chicago, I was sure that a career in family medicine was the right path. The rigorous academic setting along with the community hospital experience drew me here. My impression of the program on interview day has shown to be 100% true: a challenging yet supportive training environment that is conducive to wellness and learning. I like to spend my free time running and hiking with my husband and my new puppy. Actually, most of my free time is spent trying to potty-train my puppy.
