Biography
Hi! My name is Benjamin Root and I grew up in Ann Arbor, MI, and went to medical school at Western Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine. My prior career was as a biomedical software developer, which took me all over the USA and also around the world. Since changing careers to medicine, I have been very interested in street medicine, hospice and palliative care, and inclusion medicine. I decided to be a family medicine doctor because I love the relationships I get to form with patients and how I can tailor my career to serve diverse communities. When I am relaxing I like to perfect my latte art, go out in Ann Arbor, garden, cook, bicycle, and stand-up paddle board.
