Scott Van Epps, MD, PhD, PGY-4, has been awarded the 2013 Society for Academic Emergency Medicine Research Training Grant

Scott Van Epps, MD, PhD, PGY-4, has been awarded the 2013 Society for Academic Emergency Medicine Research Training Grant.  The two-year, $150,000 grant, ‘Functionalized carbon nanotube surfaces to reduce central line infection,’ will help support Scott’s training as well as the development of new medical device surfaces that can better resist contamination and infection.   His mentoring team includes Dr. John Younger in the Department of Emergency Medicine and several investigators in the Biointerfaces Institute at the University of Michigan.
