Dissertation Title
Multiscale modeling of T cells in Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection
Research Interests
Louis's research included utilizing agent-based mathematical models to investigate tuberculosis infection at multiple scales – molecular, cellular, tissue, and host levels. Specifically, he investigated T cell dynamics during granuloma formation and developed a (halfway) workable model that can more efficiently represent an entire human host. This work will eventually be folded into the development of virtual clinical trials for possible Tuberculosis vaccine therapies.
