Biography

Azia Harris-Martin is a current HILS PhD student and works on Business Transformation for Optum PacWest. Her research interests are the intersectionality between Public Health, Operations Research, Crisis Management, and Learning Health Systems. In her role at Optum, she supports the business transformation activities such as PacWest Operating Plan and Shared Service Integrations Planning. 

Azia graduated from The University of Michigan – College of Engineering with her B.S.E. in Material Science and Engineering and Emory University – Rollins School of Public Health with her MPH in Health Policy and Management.

Azia enjoys hanging out with family & friends, hiking, traveling, and trying new recipes.
